Vapour-X is a high performance fabric made from sustainable resources - bamboo charcoal fibre and recycled polyester.
Bamboo grows naturally in a managed environment without the need for pesticides and fertilizers. It needs little water and is naturally regenerative. The harvested bamboo is dried, carbonised and ground into fine Bamboo Charcoal particles which are then woven into a yarn. This yarn is used to create the layer which will face the skin and offers key technical attributes:
• Wicking & Breathable
• Anti-microbial
• Thermal Regulation
• Absorption & Emission of Far Infrared Energy
• Durable
The outside of the fabric is made from a recycled polyester yarn. The life of the yarn begins as a plastic bottle which is broken down and recycled into particles. Again, these particles are spun into a yarn to create the finished fabric.
All processing meets with the Oekotex Standard 100 European Environment Protection Certificate – a scientifically founded evaluation standard for the human ecological safety of textiles.
